Illinois Governor Patrick Quinn addresses a gathering of around 12,000 Muslims on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. On September 20, 2009, Muslims from all across Greater Chicago came to pray at the huge Toyota Park in Bridgeview at the Eid prayer organized by the Mosque Foundation. Men, women and children enjoyed the experience of praying together in a large, open space. Dr. Zaher Sahloul, chair of the Council and president of the Mosque Foundation asked Governor Quinn and Steve Landek, mayor of Bridgeview to speak to the large gathering before the prayer began. From left to right: Imam Jamal Said, Safaa Zarzour, Governor Quinn, Mayor Landek, Shaikh Kifah Mustapha and Dr. Sahloul.
