2010 was an exceptionally hard year for Muslim Americans. With a bevy of cases of Islamophobia from New York to Oklahoma and right here in Illinois, Muslims were discriminated against, spied upon and even physically attacked. At the dawn of a New Year, Muslim Americans hope to continue the struggle to be more proactive, strengthen relationships with interfaith partners, get to know their neighbors better and become more civically engaged to work for justice for all Americans.
